The process of communicating person to person with empathy, self knowledge and understanding
Communication skills training is really about being able to be yourself - easily said, but hard to do if you are feeling nervous or under pressure.
If the requirement is to influence, make an impact, deal with conflict and difficult people or indeed communicate with more confidence in any given situation - then skill and self knowledge is the key. This workshop is about understanding why we communicate the way we do, and how this impacts on others.
Workshop content:
Developing powerful listening skills
Understanding our personal values
Working with body language
Voice, pitch and tone
Dealing with assumptions
Influencing preferences, styles and strategies
Personal patterns, self beliefs and self fulfilling prophecies
Recognising our strengths and building on them
Conflict resolution and dealing with difficult situations
This is a fascinating and highly interactive workshop. The focus is about becoming more effective and confident in our own personal style and in recognising the choices we have about style flexing when we need to influence and make an impact upon others.
